Clara Harris

Evangelist Clara Harris is a licensed evangelist with 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers, and one sister. She a retired elementary school teacher who loves to pray, and praise the Lord. Clara formerly served with Evangelist Christine Word at Congregational Church of God, Brother Oliver Patterson at Church of God of Prophecy, and under the leadership of Bishop Lewing from Mt Carmel Church of God in Christ. She now serves at Brighter Way under the leadership of Pastor Stevens as a Sunday School Teacher, and her favorite scriptures are Psalm 23:1, Psalm 107: 20, and Deuteronomy 33:25. Clara has a passion to see souls come to Christ and learn of Him, and her greatest desire is to reach that expected end as spoken of in Jeremiah 29:11!

Evangelist
Sarah L. Reeves

Evangelist Sarah L. Reeves was born February 15, 1946 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. She is the second oldest of twelve siblings, and attended Mt Olive Holiness church. Sarah was raised in a Godly home where she was taught the fear of the Lord at a young age. She attended Adamsville High School, and also received a Nursing certificate in home health aide.
 
Sarah relocated to Brooklyn, NY in 1965 and joined the Mount Zion Holiness Church which later became the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Archie L. McInnis Sr. She was ordained as an Evangelist, and worked faithfully on the Missionary Board. Sarah served as Vice President of the Young Adult Choir, and is anointed to sing and is a blessing to the body of Christ.
 
Evangelist Reeves married the late Bishop Lonzel McNeil in 1978, and is the mother of seven plus two step children. They answered the call to move south in 1985 to begin a work where Bishop McNeil pastored Miracle Temple Holiness Church for 12 years, and she served as the First Lady. Following Bishop McNeil's death, Sarah moved back to Brooklyn, and later Delaware where she teaches Sunday School, and sings on the praise team. Her hobbies include fishing, bowling, and having picnics with her family. Sarah is anointed and appointed by God, and has a genuine love for the Lord.

Director of Ushers
Yolanda Marshall

Yolanda Marshall is the Owner/Operator of “Tot’s Turf Early Learning Center” (TTELC) located in Camden, Delaware for the past 4 years providing services to 50-60 students. Her responsibilities include ensuring TTELC’s mission, philosophy, and values are upheld and delivering an exceptional parent/child experience.
 
In 2004, Yolanda volunteered her services at a teen conference called, “Teens in Perspective” (T.I.P). T.I.P is a leadership development program for motivated, teenage girl students, ages 13-18. Nine years later, Yolanda hasn’t missed a chance to mentor these ladies at their annual conferences located throughout the State of Delaware.
 
An important aspect of her life is her love for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yolanda held her first position in the “Highway Word of Faith” (HWOF) Church in Newark Delaware from 2007-2009 as an usher. Yolanda presently serves as a member of “Brighter Way Ministries, Inc (BWM), under Pastor Ernie Stevens. She serves as the Director of the Usher Ministry for the past 4 years. She believes ushers are visible symbols of faith in action honoring and laboring for the Lord. Yolanda also serves along with her husband as the Director of the Marriage Ministry since the beginning of 2013. She believes marriage is God-centered and a lifelong covenant.
 
Another important aspect of Yolanda’s life is family-she has been happily married to her husband for 10 years and has two lovely children and one adorable grandson.

Minister Operations Manager
Alicia Hicks

Alicia is the Ministry Operations Manager, Counselor, and Women’s Encouragement Workshop Leader. Formerly she was a member of Greater Works Ministries in Kennett Square for several years working in various areas of ministry including Chief Director of Ministries assisting leaders to strive for excellence in leading, planning, and organizing. She has an event planning business called Events of Excellence, and enjoys designing, creating, planning and organizing events. Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Bible & Christian Life and Ministry from Lancaster Bible College, and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical and Community Counseling from Eastern University, St David’s PA. She is transitioning to a full time career in counseling, and pursuing state licensure. Alicia has the desire to be an instrument used by the Holy Spirit to facilitate growth, strength, and inner healing empowering individuals through the Word and therapeutic techniques to bring about a more positive future. Psalm 147:3

Minister of Music
Michelle Hill

Michele served as Minister of Music under the leadership of the late Bishop Joseph V. Squires, who was the pastor of St. Peter’s Baptist Ministries in Aurora, NC and The Holiness Church of Cove City, NC. She served in this role from 1997-2010. As the minister of music, she was the keyboardist, praise and worship leader, responsible for teaching the music, teaching the vocal parts, and directing the choir. In 2009, God gave Michele the vision to write and record a CD. She did a live recording at, St. Peter’s Baptist Ministries, on August 5, 2009. She wrote all of the lyrics, music, and vocal arrangements for her initial CD.
 
Michele is also a Minister of the Gospel. She was trained by Bishop Jesse Williams, Pastor Gary Williams, and the late Bishop Joseph V. Squires. It has always been her passion to show people God’s grace, mercy, and love towards them. She lives by the motto, “Love God and man, and show man God’s love,” which was instilled in her by the late Bishop Joseph V. Squires.
 
Michele also served as the youth leader for many years until the music ministry required more of her time. As the youth leader, she started summer camps, afterschool programs, and praise dance ministry. The name of her education program was called P.E.A.C.E. (Parents, Educators, and Children Excelling).
 
Minister Hill is a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Education. She served as an educator for the state of North Carolina, highly qualified in Elementary Education and Middle Grades Math.
 
She is married to John Hill, Head Men’s Basketball of The Lincoln University Lions, and they have three daughters and one grandson, Isaiah.

  • Engages the Church in addressing the needs of youth;
  • Confirm and calls forth the gifts of youth for their ongoing spiritual and leadership development; and
  • To target, reach, and invite unsaved and unchurched youth
 
God's Gifted Teens attends group meetings (every other month), recreational/social outings (quarterly), retreats, youth Worship services, service projects, mission trips and fund raising projects.

Executive Pastor
Brenda Marshall

Brenda Marshall is a born again believer in Jesus Christ. She was baptized in the name of Jesus at an early age and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in the Glorious Church of God in Christ, in Townsend Delaware, under the leadership of Pastor Cecil Henry and Bishop William Henry. It was under their leadership she received correct teaching in the word of God and sound doctrine in the apostolic faith. In addition she has had the privilege to grow in Christ under the leaderships of Bethel Pentecostal Church, Greater Works Ministry, and Highway Word of Faith. In the past Minister Marshall has served in the capacity of usher, Junior Missionary leader, choir member, pastor’s aid, trustee board, and Sunday school teacher.
 
She received her first formal ministerial training at Greater Works Ministry under the guidance of Pastor Mark Avery and Biblical classes at New Destiny fellowship. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Wilmington University. She retired from teaching in the Colonial School district in 2008 after 36 years of service. In 2009 she started with Pastor Stevens as he opened the doors of Brighter Way Ministry in the capacity she now serves. Brenda has three children and three grandchildren. Min. Marshall “gives all glory and honor to Jesus Christ who is the head of my life and the author and finisher of my faith.” It is her passion to see all who come to Christ, be taught the true word of God, rooted and grounded in unshakable faith in Jesus “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye [all] might be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:19

Executive Administrator
Lady Ann Stevens

Lady Laura Ann Stevens was born and raised in Tucson AZ where she attended and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She was employed at Dillards Department Store for eleven years as a Store Auditor and Customer Service Manager, and has also worked in the Human Service’s Field for over 17 years. Laura Ann has spent many years serving in various positions working in the kingdom holding positions as Treasurer, Board Director, Usher, and Assistant Women’s Director.
 
She is married to Clarence E Stevens and has 5 children. In 2009 the lord called her husband to open Brighter Way Ministries were Lady Ann serves as Executive Administrator, and Director of the Women’s Ministry. She enjoys giving God true praise, and her testimony is one of an “overcomer” as she has had to endure many things, but God has always brought her out. One of her favorite scriptures is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.”

Founder & Senior Pastor
C. Ernie Stevens

Elder Stevens was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Joyce and Clarence Stevens Jr. He grew up in Kennett Square, and move to Arizona in his early teens. In 1991 under the Pastorship of his mother, Pastor Joyce Stevens in Tucson, Arizona he surrendered to the call of the Lord, and was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. Elder Stevens preached his first sermon in 1993 titled, "No Reason to Fall for the Treason." He held many positions such as Board Member, Director of Latter Rain Conference, and Men's Ministry President. He married Laura Ann in 1997, and they have five children. Elder Stevens is a family man, and has given everyone in his home a nickname. Laura Ann "My Love", Brandelyn "My Heart", Tarayja "My Treasure", Kiara, "My Affection", Kamare, "My Pride", and finally Karlese "My Joy". The family expanded when Brandelyn married Elder Kevron Tynes on Dec 12, 2008, and Pastor Ernie gained a “Son in Grace.” A new addition has been added making him a grandfather to Baby Liam Tynes.
 
Elder Stevens attended Southern University in Louisiana, and he worked for Bank of America as a Fraud Investigator for several years, and currently works for Lincoln University in Security. The Lord called him to return back to Pennsylvania in 2000, and he served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop Carl A. Turner Sr. at Highway Word of Faith Ministries in Newark, Delaware as the Youth Pastor. Here Pastor Ernie gained guidance and leadership, and he worked enthusiastically and compassionately with the Youth at the Youth Retreat for many years. The Lord inspired him to write two gospel plays called, “My Brother’s Keeper”, and “I want to know what love is!” Pastor Ernie produced, directed, and acted in the productions of these plays, and is currently working on the next play. The Lord directed Pastor Ernie to start Brighter Way Ministries, and the first service was held in June 2009 at the Independence School in Newark, Delaware. Pastor Stevens has a vision to see individuals grow in the fullness of Christ experiencing the Joy of the Lord. Brighter Way Ministries is a place where ordinary people will find a “Brighter Way” through Jesus Christ. The Lord empowers him to teach, and preach the Word of God. The anointing intertwined with his knowledge of the word, sense of humor and witty style captivates, and encourages people of all ages. He has a genuine love for God and His people. If you ask Elder Stevens about his accomplishments, he would just simply state, "I'm a sinner saved by grace."
